Is access to Stratfor’s intelligence web site free?
Access to most Stratfor intelligence and analysis is available only through a paid subscription. However, Stratfor has three Free Intelligence Reports delivered every week, at no cost, to anyone who is interested in keeping ahead of developing issues in the geopolitical, public policy, or security arenas.

How do I subscribe to Stratfor’s Free Intelligence Reports?
It’s simple to sign up for our Free Intelligence Reports. If you are new to Stratfor and do not yet receive any of our mailings, click here to learn more about each of our Free Intelligence Reports and sign up. If you already receive any of our free intelligence reports and have been assigned a unique user name and password, you can use your login information to add a new intelligence report by clicking here.

If you already receive any of our free intelligence reports and you have not been assigned a unique user name and password, please contact our Customer Service Department via e-mail at service@stratfor.com or by phone at (US) 1-877-978-7284 or +1 512.744.4300, Monday through Friday, between 9 AM – 5 PM CST. You will be provided with instructions on how to set up an account to receive free intelligence reports via e-mail each week.

Can I try the Stratfor online subscription services for free?
A free 7-day trial of our Stratfor Premium service is offered to anyone who is interested in previewing our world-renowned intelligence portal. There is no charge for this trial and we encourage you to take a sneak peak at what we have to offer. At the end of the 7-day period, you can choose to maintain your access by signing up for an annual subscription.

How do I get a user name if I do not have one or if I have forgotten it?
If you have forgotten your user name, or you currently receive any of our free intelligence reports and you do not have a registered user name and password, please contact our Customer Service Department via e-mail at service@stratfor.com or by phone at (US) 1-877-978-7284 or +1 512.744.4300, Monday through Friday, between 9 AM – 5 PM CST. You will be provided with instructions on how to set up a new user name or how you retrieve your old one.

What do I do if I forget my password?
If you have forgotten your password, you can retrieve it by using the “Forgot my password” function. Click on this phrase under any subscriber log-in area and an e-mail message with your password will be automatically sent to the e-mail address listed for your account.

How can I update my contact information?
The “My Account” function after you log in to the website will allow you to change some of your information, such as e-mail address, physical address information, and password. You can find the My Account section once you log in, in the top horizontal navigational bar.
In order to change any other account information, such as billing information or user name, please contact our Customer Service Department via e-mail at service@stratfor.com or by phone at (US) 1-877-978-7284 or +1 512.744.4300, Monday through Friday, between 9 AM – 5 PM CST.

Why can I not log in?
If you are a Stratfor Premium subscriber, please remember that both the user name and the password fields are case-sensitive. Please make sure that your user name and password are entered correctly and the caps lock on your keyboard is not on. If you type your user name and password correctly and you still cannot log in, please contact our Customer Service Department via e-mail at service@stratfor.com or by phone at (US) 1-877-978-7284 or +1 512.744.4300, Monday through Friday, between 9 AM – 5 PM CST

If you subscribe to one of our Free Intelligence Reports, the user name and password you received are only provided to facilitate your access to future special offers from Stratfor and to allow you to easily change your contact information via our Customer Service Department. The current user name and password do not give you access to Stratfor’s subscription-only online intelligence portal.

Whom should I contact if I have questions about the renewal or the cancellation process?

Am I an Individual user or Corporate/Institutional user?
Individual users are those who have access to Stratfor Intelligence via a personal account or an account that you or another person has personally registered with Stratfor. For example, if you log in with your own unique user name and password and originally paid for your account via a personal credit card, or a friend or colleague purchased an account for you, then you are an Individual user. Also, if you subscribe to any of our free intelligence reports, and received a user name and a password to use for future offers, you are an Individual user.

Corporate/Institutional users are those who have access to Stratfor Intelligence via a company account or organization-provided user name and password. For example, if your company or work place has an account that multiple individuals use, or you have been issued a unique user name and password by your organization in order to access the Stratfor website, then you are a Corporate or Institutional user.

Payment Options

What forms of payment do you accept?
For individual subscriptions, we accept payments via credit card only. We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diner’s Club. Should you require an organization-wide subscription, we will be happy to work with you on an invoicing arrangement. Please contact us to inquire about our multi-user subscriptions today.

What is the “security code” of my credit card?
For Visa and MasterCard credit cards, the security code is the 3 digits on the far right of the signature panel, on the back of the card. For American Express credit cards, the security code is the 4 digits on the far right-hand side above the last four digits of the actual card number.

In the continuing interest of maintaining your credit card security, our system requires this code. If you have a non-U.S. credit card, or your security code otherwise begins with “0,” please contact us directly to process any transactions. In addition, you may e-mail us at service@stratfor.com if you have any questions or concerns regarding this issue.

Can I forward the e-mails I receive from Stratfor to friends and family?
If you receive any of our Free Intelligence Reports, we encourage you to ask your friends and family to sign up to receive these reports directly from Stratfor. The sign-up process is simple and they will each be assigned a unique user name and password to use for future special offers.

If you are a paying subscriber, under the terms of a paid Individual Subscription, Stratfor content, services or tools, and other intelligence is for the Subscriber ONLY and may not be shared. The Subscriber is responsible for the confidentiality and use of the Subscriber's user name and personal password. The Subscriber's responsibility extends to all activity and use under the user name and password. By purchasing the Individual Subscription, you agree not to reproduce, retransmit, photocopy, distribute, disseminate, sell, publish, broadcast, or circulate the information received through the Service to anyone without the express prior written consent of Stratfor. Information abstracted from our intelligence can be used for the Subscriber’s research purposes but not for commercial purposes. Copying and distributing original copyright-protected intelligence from the site is expressly forbidden.
